Festival of Trees goes virtual
NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - Festival of Trees at the Prairie Arts Center may be looking a little different this year but Event Coordinator at Prairie Arts Center, Brandy Jamerman, says there are a lot of fun Christmas items to bid on.
“This year we opened it up to decorations and center pieces. So it’s kind of giving us quite a variety of different pieces and it’s really neat what the businesses and community people have come up with,” said Jamerman.
These locally donated items are being auctioned online where you can bid on the items of your choice.
“They’re beautiful! And hopefully a little bit of Christmas joy will help in these hard struggling times. Give people something to look forward to cause there’s nothing like having brand new pieces in your home to spark that joy,” said Jamerman.
The Prairie Arts Center invites the community to come into the Arts Center to view all the pieces. Bidding is open now through Saturday at 3 p.m. You can bid on gatewayrealty.hibid.com. Jamerman says these funds go towards all the things the Prairie Arts Center brings to the community.
“Most people probably think we’re just an art gallery but we’re so much more than that. We’re a place to have events for social gatherings and we also have a lot of art classes, kids classes, adult craft classes,” said Jamerman.
Santa will also be at the Prairie Arts Center Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. for more holiday fun.
