Horse-drawn carriage rides on The Bricks
Dusty Trails and Huskeradio partnered up for “cash carriage”
NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - For those who enjoy downtown North Platte, a unique way to see The Bricks is available for a limited time. Dusty Trails and Huskeradio are partnering up for the month of December for a “cash carriage.”
“Folks could possibly win a little bit of money to spend this holiday season and have some fun on the carriage too. We know Dusty does a great amount of things to promote local tourism...So we thought what better person to partner with and promote the downtown community,” said Huskeradio’s Tristen Winder.
The newly elected North Platte Mayor happened to be on The Bricks tonight and we asked him for his thoughts on the festivities.
“That’s one of the beautiful things about our growing downtown is we’ve created a great experience and there’s more things coming in the future...Our city is moving in the right direction and I’m excited and I hope you are too,” said Brandon Kelliher.
The horse-drawn carriage rides will be available for the next two Thursdays from 6-9 PM. The ride around The Bricks takes about ten minutes and costs $20. The event appears to be quite a hit with the community as all timeslots for Thursday, December 10 have already been booked.
