Original Story:
Rural fire departments near the town of Moorefield in Frontier County continue fighting a wildfire. Crews on the scene of this and other area fires since the early Friday morning hours. The fire is moving quickly across the area’s tall, dry grasses, threatening farmsteads and livestock along the way due to the very strong wind gusts affecting fire-fighting efforts.

Water tankers and fire trucks from Maywood and Farnam were on scene at a ranch Friday morning about six miles north of Moorefield before relocating to the east to get ahead of the fire.
