NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - The West Central District Health Department (WCDHD) is nearly ready to offer COVID-19 vaccines to children aged 12 to 15. This, after the FDA gave emergency use authorization for this age group.

The final approval from the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices with the CDC is expected by Thursday. If approved, the WCDHD is ready.

In order to reserve a Pfizer vaccine, WCDHD Executive Director Shannon Vanderheiden said the teens need to register at https://vaccinate.ne.gov.
