NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - The week just got a little sweeter. A fundraiser called Sweet Saloon began on Tuesday helping raise money for the North Platte Community College’s (NPCC) volleyball team. You can grab yourself a sweet treat by visiting McDaid Elementary School anytime through Thursday.

Many have joined in on the Sweet Saloon fun in previous years, but this year is a little different. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, customers will not be able to eat the cinnamon rolls at McDaid Elementary School. The customers either need to pick up their order from the school or have one of the workers from the event deliver their sweets.

Some say the cinnamon rolls from Sweet Saloon are better than their own baking.

“They are better than I can make at home. And I’m taking them to work to share with the kids,” Supporter Angee Friend said.

If you wish to purchase a sweet treat this week, you may do so by visiting McDaid Elementary School between 7 a.m. and 12 p.m. The cinnamon rolls are $18 for one dozen.
