NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - We will be mainly sunny and seasonably warm to start the workweek. There was a lot less huimidity compared to the finish of last week, but more smoke from the wildfires out west filtered in. Highs Monday will be a few degrees above average.

High pressure is working its way out. It kept us mostly sunny and dry this weekend, but its NW flow gave us a lot of smoke through the weekend. A warm front flips the wind to a southerly direction, easing the smoke concerns, but warming us nicely as we approach the weekend.

For the rest of the workweek we will be mainly dry and seasonably warm. Most of the t-storm activity will miss us west into the highest elevations of the Rockies. There is a slight chance of storms for us on Wednesday, but the rest of the 7-day forecast shows sunny to mostly sunny skies. We start off the workweek with upper 80s, but approaching the weekend, we will be back to highs near 100.
