Very slight chance of storms Monday, hot and sunny conditions continue

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP)-SCOOTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNEP) - For Monday, the area will remain sunny and hot for the first part of the day. Some areas of haze are possible for the Scottsbluff region on Monday. Highs will be in the low 90s to some areas reaching the triple digits.There is a chance of showers/t-storms in the evening. The Storm Prediction Center has the eastern parts of the region under a marginal risk of severe weather. That means damaging wind gusts and isolated hail are possible, but any storms will be very isolated in nature.

The hot trend will continue for most of the next week as we have a lot of sunshine, and most of us will stay above 90 degrees. Some isolated areas this week could be close to 100 degrees as our dry trend continues.

The next chance of any moisture will be on Friday and Saturday, but it will be a slight chance as most will remain partly cloudy. Approaching the weekend, there will be a break in the heat with some areas having highs in the upper 80s.
