North Platte's city administrator Jim Hawks gets a prestigious award at the League of Nebraska Municipalities. Hawks receives the award to recognize his decades of Leadership, Excellence, Action, and Dedication to the city of North Platte.

The award was presented to Hawks at the League of Nebraska Municipalities Midwinter conference on February 24th

Hawks is longtime member of the League of Larger Cities Legislative committee. He was recognized for providing leadership to North Platte as well as assisting other city officials across the state who have sought his advice on a number of issues.

North Platte Mayor Dwight Livingston says Hawks has been a key part of the inner workings of North Platte for the past several years. Hawks will retire as after serving as city administrator for the last 17 years
