They are hosting a party -- a wild west party -- organizers call the Frontier Revue in North Platte. As Nebraskaland Days celebrates 50 years, this is the 49th year of Dr. Thayer's original musical creation called the Frontier Revue

Dr. Thayer wrote all the music. This year's Director, Jennifer Winder, and her husband, Kevin, wrote a story line to go with the music this year.

Jennifer Winder says, "We have our outlaw and sheriff and the mayor, all those good people. Of course, Dr. Thayer writes music about Grandma Gilley, and this history of North Platte, and the people he met, and the settling of the old west. That's kind of the story line."

Winder says there are songs about rail cars, the western story of the cowyboy and indians, plus little kids on the prairie.

The Frontier Revue takes to the stage two more times on Monday, and Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at North Platte Community College.
